Job Descriptions
JALA is currently seeking a QA/QC Coordinator position who will be responsible for ensuring product quality meets applicable standards and regulations. Planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) systems at every stage of the process, from raw materials to finished products.
Roles & Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (QA):

  1. Design and implement an effective quality assurance system, such as HALAL certification, SKP, HACCP, BAP, UoC (ASC), GMP.
  2. Monitor and inspect raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure product safety and quality.
  3. Establish and manage a quality management system (QMS) that complies with industry standards and government regulations.
  4. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with QA and QC procedures.
  5. Provide employee training on QA and QC procedures and improve work standards to achieve production efficiency.
  6. Oversee audits and investigations of major quality deviations to determine their root causes.

Quality Control (QC):

  1. Determine and implement product quality standards in accordance with the specifications of the Supply Chain team.
  2. Conduct quality testing on raw materials and finished products, such as microbiological and chemical testing.
  3. Oversee, monitor, and provide recommendations at every stage of the production process to identify potential quality issues.
  4. Inspect products after freezing, including product weight, UF, defects, scales, and glazing.
  5. Supervise the cleanliness of the packing and packaging areas, as well as the cleanliness of equipment and employees.

Management: Communicate with the production, supply chain, and sales departments to ensure consistent product quality. Create product specification documents for the production team. Provide recommendations for work facilities to create a production environment that meets quality standards.

Skills & Capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree from reputable university majoring Food Technology, Aquaculture, Fisheries, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the related field
  • Have good and smooth communication skills
  • Have a leadership spirit
  • Able to work individually and in teams well
  • Good analytical thinking and strong problem solving skills
  • Good skill in presentation and experience in KPI presentation
  • Familiar with Odoo
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and certifications (HACCP, GMP, HALAL, BAP, ASC, etc.).
