Entering 2026, shrimp prices in Indonesia are showing a positive trend. Throughout the first quarter (Q1) of 2026, prices have gradually increased across multiple counts, offering an early sign of optimism for shrimp farmers. At the start of the year, however, many farmers chose to delay stocking due to price uncertainty at the end of 2025, adopting a cautious approach while waiting for clearer market conditions before starting a new cycle.
That said, the upward price trend seen since the early weeks of 2026 provides a positive signal that addresses those concerns. The consistent increase suggests that the market is beginning to recover, creating renewed momentum for farmers to plan their cultivation cycles with greater confidence.
