Job Descriptions
JALA is currently seeking a Legal Permit & Compliance position. This position will be responsible for managing the company's permits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with government agencies and relevant parties. Duties include managing and renewing permits, conducting internal compliance audits, preparing compliance reports, and supporting policy development to improve company compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Permit Management:

    • Handle the application, renewal, and monitoring of business permits and licenses.
    • Ensure all company permits comply with legal requirements and are renewed before expiration.
  2. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
    • Provide recommendations to management on regulatory risks.
  3. Stakeholder Management:

    • Liaise with government agencies, regulators, and third-party vendors for permits and certifications.
    • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies.
    • Coordinate with internal departments to gather data and documentation required for licensing or reporting.
    • Support internal and external audits related to legal permits and company compliance.
  4. Compliance Reporting:

    • Prepare compliance reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
    • Assist in creating policies to improve company-wide compliance practices.
Skills & Capabilities
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Having 1-2 years of experience in similar role
  • Able to work in an office environment and handle document-intensive tasks.
  • Fit for field visits to government offices when required.
  • Comfortable with extended screen and desk work.
