JALA is looking for a Farm Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment, infrastructure, and support systems in the farm area operate optimally. This includes maintenance, repair, and installation of various tools and systems according to established operational standards. As a Farm Technician, you play a vital role in supporting smooth daily operations in the field through quick and accurate technical follow-ups.
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for all production and cultivation activities, including pond preparation, cultivation process, harvest, and post-harvest.
Act as a problem solver for production-related issues by integrating leadership, aquaculture knowledge, experience, and new input.
Responsible for the use and proper application of Jala hardware and software.
Record the usage of feed and materials regularly and report them periodically to the supervisor.
Prepare annual and periodic production plans covering all cultivation phases, and report them to the Head of the Cultivation Department.
Maintain daily reports, weekly sampling records, and other documentation related to the development of each pond in the Pond Daily Logbook.
Compile end-of-cycle cultivation reports with measurable analysis and accurate conclusions to be used as a reference for improving production results in the next cycle.
Foster a culture of guidance, care, and mentorship (asah, asih, asuh) toward subordinates, including Assistant Technicians, Pond Guides, or Feeders.
Maintain harmonious working relationships among all team members within the same block, across blocks, and with employees from other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Instill a sense of ownership and responsibility in all cultivation block employees to maintain and care for company assets within their work area.
Supervise all company assets used in the cultivation process, including infrastructure and facilities.
Consistently implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the maintenance and improvement of cultivation facilities through coordination with related departments/support divisions.
Responsible for reporting to the Head of the Cultivation Department and the Farm Manager.
Skills & Capabilities
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of shrimp farming practices.
Proven experience in leading and coordinating a team.
Willing to be placed in Banyuwangi or Palu.
