JALA is searching a dedicated Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with environmental, social, and safety regulations, both within the company and with our farm clients.
Roles & Responsibilities
Evalulate Environmental and Safety compliance of a target client with applicable requirements during due diligence, such as site visits, collection of necessary E&S documentation (e.g., certificates and authorizations), and preparation of E&S due diligence reports (or an E&S section of the credit application
Ensure company complied with national regulation in environmental and safety
Conduct HSE Program within company and farm clients
Supervise portfolio projects' on-going compliance with the applicable requirements on a regular basis, which may include:
Conducting site visits, monitoring the implementation of E&S action plan (if any) by the clients, reviewing clients' annual reports, and recording clients' E&S on-going performance
Resolving E&S issues in case of non-compliance, and where needed, preparing a time-bound corrective action plan with specific follow-up procedures
Prepare annual report to investor regarding environmental, social and governance company
Ensure that ESS (Environmemtal, Social and Safety) procedures and policies are implemented for each project, and that records of environmental and safety monitoring and reviews are maintained
Skills & Capabilities
Experienced minimum 3 years in HSE
Certified K3
Familiar with IFC framework (been implemented IFC's preferable)
Familiar with policy drafting in company
Having strong knowledge with national environmental and safety regulation
Familiar with ISO 9001;2015 ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Mastering risk assessment and risk register
